Company Profile Parivar Seva Sanstha is a national NGO providing reproductive health services with emphasis on family planning. Registered in 1978,the organization today has a strong network of 36 reproductive health clinics, contraceptive products marketing and distribution system and numerous projects and outreach activities located in 21 states of India. Through its various programmes the organization cares for more than15,00,000 women and men every year .A number of interventions of the organization are strategically executed in states declared backward. On the basis of socio- economic and health parameters by the Government of India, Including Rajasthan, UttarPradesh, Madhya Pradesh Bihar, Chattisgarh and Orissa.The thrust areas of work of Parivar Seva are Social Marketing of Clinical Services,Social Marketing of Contraceptives, Reproductive Health Education and Training/Family Life Education.Clinical Services:Parivar Seva /Marie Stopes ClinicsParivar Seva has a holistic approach towards improving the quality of life of men and women through accessible, affordable quality reproductive health and family planning services, contraceptive products and information and education activities. The 35 female clinics and 1 male clinic spread across a number of districts in 12 states meet the demand of RH and FP services through a team of highly skilled medical doctors, counselors, lab technicians, community workers and promoters. SRHET (Sexual & Reproductive Health - Education and Training):Division is working towards creating awareness, educating and training adolescents, youth, about to be married youth and married couples in reproductive age groups, in the field of reproductive & sexual health. The objective is to help people lead a healthy reproductive life and plan their families.Social Marketing of Contraceptive Products:Under the umbrella of GOI’s social marketing programme for contraceptives. Parivar Seva markets its own brand of contraceptives at subsidized rates. CSMP ensures easy accessibility to the temporary contraceptive methods to people in towns, villages, remote and inaccessible areas through a strong and effective distribution network with motivated and dedicated staff.The above 3 operating divisions are supported in their efforts by an interdisciplinary team of personnel comprising of staff functions such as Finance, HRD, Communication, MIS, research and technical, based in our Support Office in New Delhi. We have an opening in our Research unit. This is a core position. Job Description / Responsibilities: To provide technical support on research on an ongoing basis to the Sanstha as a whole as well as to its different departments which handle a range of reproductive health products and services. In addition, the responsibility would include handling of all research components of specific projects being implemented by the Sanstha. The research assignments may be carried out in house or through external agencies.Research work, amongst others would include: conducting mapping exercises, baselines and market research consumer studies- both quantitative & qualitative for a range of reproductive health products and services. Also, included would be analysis of considerable data available with the organization. The selected person would also be expected to analyze, document and present study results.
Desired profile of the candidate: Postgraduate in sociology/ population studies/ statistics/ mathematics, with research as a major subject or marketing management with specialization in market research. Past experience in research work essential. Having past experience in reproductive health desirable.Must have initiative and ability to lead and manage the Research work of the Sanstha.
Desired work experience (in complete years): 03 to 10 Years
Minimum: 3 Years----Maximum: 10 Years
Compensation Offered: At managerial level about Rs.5 lakhs.
At lower level about 3 lakhs.
