Position : Technical Expert (Social and Community Development)
Location: New Delhi
Duration: One Year (renewable)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for social systems and community development, information and knowledge management:• Conduct social assessments and poverty analysis• Support the formation and operation of technical and managerial committees• Integrate purpose committees into traditional and formal government structures and processes• Ensure equity and pro-poor design for renewable-based electricity generation• Compiling an overview of project/program activities, deadlines etc. and presents it regularly in team meetings,• Following up the project monitoring system, updates information concerning the progress of the project, periodically documents and reports the results of the activities,• Prepares and conducts qualitative research projects (development of survey instruments, field testing, training of field staff, organisational preparations in the field, data collection and analysis of data),• Assists in the recording and writing of results in each activity undertaken• Observes topics directly related to the program/project through evaluation by the press, direct dialog, forum participation, public hearings, seminars, etc.• Assists in the planning, coordination, and documentation of meetings, workshops, seminars and other activities of the project, focusing on the technical aspects.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:A Master or Ph.D. Degree in social/applied science. Minimum 4-6 years experience.
Skills Set: Development, design and implementation of training systems (for rural communities), Development of governance models specific to rural energy projects, Social engineering, Project management and communicationPosition requires frequent travel.
